I don’t agree with that one. I think God’s plan for us is success; however, our success or failure depends upon the choices we make moment by moment, day by day. If we continue to make bad choices, then we (and those whose lives we effect) continue to suffer the consequences of those choices. Lessons are given to us repeatedly until they are learned.
I think God’s plan may be to hold our hand and take us through personal failure, or be arms of support as the building crashes down upon us. Yes, Jesus is enough, and if his plan includes personal failure, rest assured as I focus on Him the result will be good. When all comes crashing down, He is the One who lifts us above our circumstances.
